No Templates

Unlike other systems we don't use templates. Notes vary with specialty.  SmartClinic has one input template for internal medicine, family practice and its sub-specialties.  The different needs are handled by providing specialty specific and physician specific details from the drop-down  selection lists enhanced by dynamic learning which automates the process of specialty specific data.  Information contained in the notes are based on terms that you select.
 

Real-time E/M Calculation

SmartClinic automatically suggests the appropriate E/M code for the encounter.  Neither the physician nor the staff need be coding authorities. You simply take care of the patient while the system documents your activity.  SmartClinic will also compute the E/M code and provide all the documentation required to support that code.
 

Dynamic Learning 

Automatically adds your terminology  directly to selection lists for your specialty.  Changes made instantly as you work without having to wait on technology personnel.  

Multiple forms of Input

The standard and most widely used input is to point-click on term specific pull down lists from terminals in the examination rooms connected to a central server via LAN (Local Area Network). 

Any speech recognition software may be used by simply clicking into an area and dictating. 

Windows based pen-tablet PC's may be used as a mobile device between examination rooms.  However wireless technology today, at generally acceptable prices only runs at about half the speed of a LAN.
